Job description

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology invites applicationsfor an exciting opportunity to serve as a Career Services and EmployerRelations Assistant Director. This role is responsible for providingindividualized career advising to students and alumni, equipping them with thetools necessary to successfully pursue internships, co-ops, researchopportunities, graduate education, and full-time employment. The AssistantDirector will build and maintain collaborative relationships with students,alumni, employers, faculty, staff, parents, and other key constituents, whilealso representing and promoting Rose-Hulman to campus visitors, includingprospective students and athletic recruits. The position supports initiativesthat enhance the student experience, foster inclusive practices, and strengthencommunication, data, and outreach efforts across the Institute.

The Assistant Director will work closely withundergraduate students to guide them through career exploration anddecision-making processes, providing support that may include resume andcurriculum vitae development and review, interview preparation, networkingstrategies, graduate school testing and application guidance, cover letter andpersonal statement feedback, and offer evaluation and negotiation. This roleincludes working with assigned student populations to monitor and trackpost-graduation outcomes and progress. Additionally, the position involvestracking, compiling, and analyzing student, alumni, and employer data, ensuringaccuracy within systems such as CRM and Handshake, and contributing todepartmental reporting and assessment efforts for internal and externalstakeholders.

The successful candidate will assist in the planning,development, execution, and evaluation of career-related events, workshops,presentations, and programs, including supporting logistics such as set-up andbreakdown. They will also contribute to the development of career-relatedcurriculum and courses for both in-person and online delivery, collaboratingwith academic departments and faculty to align career outcomes with academicprograms. Responsibilities further include creating and maintaining marketingand communication materials, including websites, social media content,brochures, reports, and other publications. This role may perform additionalduties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the Institute and itscommitment to student success.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree, alongwith two to three years of professional experience in career development,counseling, social work, recruiting, human resources, teaching, orcollege admissions. Must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, as well asproject and process management and sales-oriented skills. Proficiency inMicrosoft Office is required. Additionally, successful candidates will possessexcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, a strongcustomer service orientation, and polished presentation abilities.
Preferred candidates will have a master's degree and 5years of relevant professional experience in career development, counseling,social work, recruiting, human resources, teaching, college admissions, orhigher ed. Experience with database management, Power BI, career servicessoftware, graphic design, web-based tools, and social media platforms is alsopreferred.

Salary range is 53,000 - 63,000. Salary is competitive.A salary pay may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
