The Cup Room Operator (CRT) is responsible for maintaining the operation of heat seal and glue seal machines for the production of paper cups. CRT's will ensure machines are kept clean and in good working conditions and are responsible for cleaning any spills in the production area. CRT's monitor the operation of the machines, checking fluids, make adjustments and maintaining cleanliness so that the machines can continue running properly. CRT is also responsible for loading paper stock into the machine for the production of paper cups. CRT will communicate any quality problems with the Quality Dept and packers.

Graphic Packaging-Visalia manufactures and distributes paper cups and plastic lids for the food service industry and is currently recruiting for the following position.
JOB TITLE: 3rd Shift Cup Room Operator
DEPARTMENT: Cup Room
WORK SCHEDULE: 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
PAY: $21.98 - $27.97
JOB SUMMARY:
The Cup Room Operator (CRT) is responsible for maintaining the operation of heat seal and glue seal machines for the production of paper cups. CRT's will ensure machines are kept clean and in good working conditions and are responsible for cleaning any spills in the production area. CRT's monitor the operation of the machines, checking fluids, make adjustments and maintaining cleanliness so that the machines can continue running properly. CRT is also responsible for loading paper stock into the machine for the production of paper cups. CRT will communicate any quality problems with the Quality Dept and packers.
All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging International safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, hearing protection and safety goggles.
WORK DEVICES/TOOLSconsist of the following: Bristol brush, latex gloves, paper, pen, grease pen, grease gun, Oil machines, standard tools (utility knife, wrenches, plyers, etc...)
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 1-2+ years recent experience manufacturing/industrial machine operator experience required.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with scheduled breaks
  • Prior experience utilizing pallet jack - highly preferred
  • Must be able to walk around machine/equipment frequently; surfaces are mostly concrete
  • Must be able lift/carry weight approximately 35 lbs; the average distance carried is approximately 5 feet- 10 feet
  • Must be able to use a two-step stepstool, and 6 feet - 10 feet ladders with rails and a platform at the top for standing in order to access the equipment for inspection/maintenance/repair
  • Must be able to bend forward momentarily up to 90 degrees when repairing or maintaining machines.
  • Must be able to reach between waist and shoulder height which occurs on a frequent basis.
  • Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Overtime will be required as necessary including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24 hour, 7 day/week basis.
