About The Opportunity

Manage all aspects of the technical department including managing maintenance costs, contractor‑performed maintenance, regular and preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Build and lead a cohesive team for technical employees focused on company objectives of safety, quality, service, and efficiency.
  2. Drive and apply lean principles to the maintenance processes to minimize waste and increase the throughput.
  3. Use data collection processes to evaluate unplanned downtime and implement corrective actions.
  4. Maintain monthly R&M spend for the facility.
  5. Organize and track capital projects.
  6. Maintain production standards and measurement systems as required.
  7. Promote employee engagement activities to create and maintain a positive work environment.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
Performance Measures and Outcomes:
  1. Safety metrics
  2. Scrap / Lbs processed
  3. PM compliance
  4. Unplanned downtime
  5. Mold change time (if applicable)
Education/Certification:

Level Required Level Desired High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree – Technical Management or Plastics Engineering Master’s Degree Experience to be considered in lieu of education

Work Experience:
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment
