Marklund in Geneva is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer!

Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Senior Graphic Designer. This is a full-time position based out of our Geneva facility. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. The salary for this role is $59,000- $62,500 based on qualifications and experience.
Who We Are:
Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Position Overview
As part of the Marketing & Communications Department, the Senior Graphic Designer should be able to design marketing collateral for print and digital materials following all branding guidelines and standards in support of Marklund's various services and programs.
Essential Job Functions
  • Utilizes graphic design skills to help create marketing and fundraising materials, newsletters, ads, web pages and email blasts.
  • Makes graphic and content updates to Marklund website.
  • Work with Marketing and Communication team to produce marketing/event videos, including Top Hat Ball video content.
  • Produce high-quality materials while adhering to deadlines.
  • Attends and assists at special events.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, or Fine Arts
  • Preferred: 9 years professional experience not including freelance/internships
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Suite software including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software including Publisher, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have experience in web content management systems.
