Job description

Leidos, the implementor for the Ameren Illinois award-winning Energy Efficiency Program, seeks a Graphic Designer. Under the leadership of the Senior Graphic Designer, the Graphic Designer works to create various marketing campaigns and collateral. Under the leadership of the Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Director and in collaboration with the Marketing Team, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating marketing collateral and build brand awareness to encourage Program participation and help achieve energy savings goals.

The Mission: Leidos is a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider. The consulting group of approximately 100 employees is primarily engaged in private sector power opportunities and offers consulting services, independent engineering services, mergers & acquisition consulting, market analysis, and transmission study services.Our highly knowledgeable engineers and consultants work across functions to collaborate and challenge each other to innovate for our clients.

Job Location: This position will be a hybrid role in addition to up to 10% of travel required. There is strong preference for the successful candidate to be located (or relocate to) in the Ameren Illinois service territory https://www.ameren.com/illinois/company/about-ameren/service-territory (roughly the southern two-thirds of Illinois). The Ameren Illinois service territory includes several large to mid-size communities such as Galesburg, Quincy, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Danville, Decatur, Springfield, Charleston-Mattoon, Effingham, Mt. Vernon, Marion, Carbondale, and Metro East (Belleville, O'Fallon, Granite City, Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Creation of marketing creative in collaboration with Marketing Project Managers to ensure that marketing measures will help to meet performance goals
  • Assist in the development of annual marketing plans and annual design guide
  • Assist in providing review and quality control of all marketing collateral for branding, consistency and accuracy
  • Work together with Design Team members for design concepts and innovation
  • Participate in regular meetings across the Program to ensure marketing support is captured and taking the necessary actions
  • Assist in creating and tracking necessary project timelines, design action items through project management system
  • Assist with partners within the Program to maximize marketing reach and joint efforts, where needed
  • Enforce brand standards to ensure a high-level corporate voice and brand awareness

Basic Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and one plus (1+) year(s) of prior work experience in design, marketing or related field
  • One or more (1+) year(s) of project management experience
  • General knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform via written oral and visual media
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong creative development skills
  • Exceptional organizational, management and interpersonal skills
  • Can-do attitude, will to succeed and desire to learn
  • Exceptional attention to detail, quality and follow through
