Job description

Role Summary

VIVO is looking for a Photographer & Graphic Designer who will shoot product photography and support graphic design needs for new product launches. This role owns new-SKU launch content end to end, product photography, retouching, and supporting graphic assets, while also serving as a key hand in running our in-house studio day to day.

VIVO is a U.S.-based company that designs, manufactures, and supplies a diverse selection of products across multiple unique product markets (www.vivo-us.com).

Key Responsibilities

  • Shoot white background and lifestyle product photography for new SKUs as they launch, following established shot lists and content guides.
  • Shoot supporting detail, macro, and feature-callout images for Amazon A+ content and listing enhancements.
  • Execute supporting graphic design layouts for web, social, and listing content, applying strong typography, font hierarchy, and visual weighting for brand-consistent digital assets.
  • Set up lighting in the studio using constant lighting for photo shoots that fit brand tone and product requirements.
  • Help with scene setups ahead of each shoot, placing furniture, decor, backdrops, and product staging on set.
  • Edit and retouch photography to platform-specific technical specs for Amazon, Costco, VIVO-US.com, and others.
  • Break down and reset the studio after shoots, and help keep shared equipment, props, and backdrops organized and ready for the next shoot on the calendar.
  • Maintain new-SKU photography deliverables against the production calendar.
  • Pick up listing-enhancement requests on already-launched SKUs (new angles, updated graphics, seasonal refreshes) without displacing new-launch priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Photo and 3D teams, follow established shot lists/content guides.
  • Create Product packaging mockups that follows retailer specific requirements.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, team-building activities, and ongoing learning initiatives.
  • Maintain organized file handoffs per our naming/folder conventions.

Demonstration of VIVO Values and Standards of Behavior

  • Work Ethic: A commitment to the best outcomes and highest quality for the customer and your peers; you strive daily to improve the company, your co-workers, and yourself.
  • Initiative: You embrace innovation and have the courage to respectfully challenge the status quo; you believe in sharing results, learning from mistakes, and celebrating successes.
  • Communication: You collaborate across departments to ensure best-practice outcomes and remain open to different thoughts and perspectives.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years in e-commerce content creation, studio product photography, and retouching and editing photos to brand and platform specs.
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Graphic Design or higher preferred.
  • Software Mastery: Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Proficiency in Adobe CC apps, AI applications, and the Google Drive/Gmail suite. Knowledgeable with amazon and other e-commerce marketplaces, preferred.
  • Studio Technicality: Proven experience with studio lighting and product staging. (Note: We are looking for technical product experience, not portrait or event photography experience).
  • Work Ethic: Comfortable working independently against a shot list once trained on our process. Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple project concurrently and reprioritize as launch dates and objectives shift.
  • Immediacy: We are looking for a talent ready to start right away.
  • Location: This is an on site position only, located in Goodfield IL.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Physical: Visual acuity, talking, and hearing (with or without correction). Requires repetitive motion (typing) and occasional walking/standing.
  • Lifting: Moderate to occasional heavy requirements. Studio equipment and product samples up to 50lbs.
  • Environment: Typical office/administrative environment with occasional exposure to warehouse conditions.
