Job description

Job Title: Graphic Artist Intern
Reports To: Marketing Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Part Time
Job Summary: The Part-Time Sign Shop Graphic Artist Intern will provide hands-on exposure to how marketing materials are created, produced, and executed in a competitive route-to-market CPG environment, where design work directly supports retail execution, sales teams, and consumer engagement. The intern will assist with retail signage, point-of-sale materials, event graphics, file preparation, and print production support.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist with creating retail signage, point-of-sale materials, event graphics, and brand-support assets.
  • Help modify and adapt existing design templates for specific project needs while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Support print production by preparing files, resizing artwork, proofreading layouts, and ensuring files are ready for review or production.
  • Learn and follow supplier brand guidelines to help ensure graphics are accurate, compliant, and consistent with brand standards.
  • Assist with organizing digital assets, design files, templates, and completed project files.
  • Support marketing and sales execution for retail programs, events, seasonal campaigns, and local market needs.
  • Help track project progress, deadlines, and production needs as directed.
  • Assist with additional design-related and administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be a current student pursuing coursework or a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Portfolio or examples of design work are required.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred; experience with CorelDraw is a plus.
  • Interest in print production, retail marketing, brand design, and consumer-facing graphics.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with spelling, logos, brand standards, layout, and production accuracy.
  • Ability to follow direction, receive feedback, and make revisions quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Dependable, professional, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available for the internship period from August 2026 through April 2027.

  • Active student pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field requiring hands-on experience in graphic design, print production, and retail marketing.

Physical Requirements:
  • Administrative/Prolonged periods of computer work 80%.
  • Walking, Bending, Lifting, and Twisting 20%
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and team lifting over 100 lbs.
