Job description

You will work with internal staff, managers and clients to design, develop and deliver various building types for civic and private clients alike. You will be responsible for leading and supporting projects in all phases with a wide variety of assignments while maintaining and nurturing internal and external partnerships. Additionally, you will support the team in all aspects of the growth of an Architectural practice in support of the building & facilities services initiatives.

We are looking for curious, self-motivated candidates capable of leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Participate in both project delivery (75-90%) and tracking leads (10-25%) for future projects within the firm and external to the firm.
  • Prepare project proposals or responses to RFPs including coordination with sub-consultants and other internal resources where appropriate.
  • Actively lead projects and project teams to meet client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communication and documentation; and office administrative tasks
  • Guide and mentor developing staff concurrent with project delivery.
  • Directly produce and support teams in developing, construction drawings or project graphics utilizing Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and other digital architectural tools.
  • Prepare code compliance evaluations. Participate in review with various governing agencies for code compliance in relation to zoning laws, fire regulations, building code and other ordinances.
  • Maintain quality control of construction documents and specifications.
  • Ability to apply effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills when preparing technical reports and documentation

What We Are Looking For:

  • Architectural Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of architecture experience within the architecture, design, engineering and construction field
  • Licensed Architect preferred
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other visualization design tools such as Sketchup or Rhino.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Familiarity with construction management platforms such as proforma, eBuilder or Newforma a plus.
  • Past direct client experience including leading client design meetings, presenting for council or ownership groups.
  • Proposal and fee development experience including contract negotiations.
  • Architectural experience in municipal facilities such as: Community, Recreation, Public Safety or Public Works.
  • Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required

Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,000 depending on years of experience and credentials
