Position Summary

Midlab is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Graphics team in Athens, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career designer who is eager to build their skills in a professional, fast-paced environment.


The Junior Graphic Designer will support the development of packaging, labels, marketing materials, and other visual assets. This position will work closely with the design team and other departments to ensure projects are creative, accurate, on-brand, and ready for production.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of packaging, product labels, and marketing materials.
  • Create, update, and maintain existing design files.
  • Follow established brand standards and style guidelines across all projects.
  • Build and modify product labels using established templates and specifications.
  • Prepare production-ready files for print and digital applications.
  • Review artwork carefully for accuracy, consistency, and quality before final production.
  • Work with technical information and product specifications to develop accurate packaging and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the creative team, marketing, product development, and other departments.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Take direction and feedback from senior designers and department leadership.
  • Stay current with design trends, software capabilities, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience; internships, school projects, and portfolio work will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines while bringing creativity and fresh ideas to projects.
