Job Description Summary:

Senior Manager, Package Design Adaptation is a hybrid role combining strategic design thinking with demonstrated competency in leveraging AI, automation, and connected workflows to design and optimize scalable creative production systems that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across the design adaptation and production ecosystem.

In this strategic, hands-on design role, you will use a systems mindset to solve complex design challenges, translating business and marketing objectives into scalable brand solutions that meet the brief and maintain the integrity of established brand standards. This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented graphic designer with deep Adobe Creative Suite expertise, strong production design experience, experience working with AI-enabled workflow platforms and node-based systems, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, attend print tests, manage color and production quality, and continuously evolve workflows as new technologies and AI capabilities are introduced across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging & Production Design (Primary Focus - ~75-80%)

  • Apply a systems-thinking approach to packaging adaptation, ensuring solutions scale across brands, formats, channels, and markets.
  • Create, adapt, and maintain flat packaging files for multiple brands, formats, and markets.
  • Ensure all files are press-ready, accurate, and aligned with brand standards, dielines, substrates, and print specifications.
  • Review color targets and attend press checks and print tests to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy.
  • Partner closely with internal requestors (Brand, Creative, Innovation, and Graphics Management) to gather requirements, manage revisions, and deliver final assets on time.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail, organization, and production accuracy.

Design Automation & AI Adoption (~15-20%)

  • Actively introduce and incorporate new AI-powered design and production tools into your workflow as they become available internally.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-enabled workflow solutions that support asset adaptation, versioning, quality control, production efficiency, and scalable content creation while maintaining brand standards.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to evolve scalable, repeatable packaging adaptation workflows.
  • Maintain a continuous learning mindset and stay curious about emerging tools that improve speed, efficiency, and creative output.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships with a large and diverse group of internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly, positively, and professionally balancing creative problem-solving with practical execution.
  • Bring a can-do attitude, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to fast-paced, high-volume production environments.

Nice to Have (Approximately 5% of Role)

  • Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, or animation to support packaging visualization or concept exploration.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-powered 3D or visualization tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or Industrial Design with professional graphic design experience.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in graphic design with a strong emphasis on brand building and packaging production.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; strong working knowledge of other programs within the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing files for print, managing color, and working directly with printers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with many stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proven willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and evolve as new AI tools and workflows are introduced.
