Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring an Accounting Department Manager to join our Accounting Department in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: Full-Time 
  • Work Shift: Days 
  • Hours: 8am-4:30pm

What Your Day Looks Like: The Accounting Department at CMH coordinates with all CMH departments to obtain and produce financial information for use by managerial / supervisory staff to support decisions and produce required reports for outside agencies. 

As the Accounting Department Manager, you will be:  

  • Supervising department staff, including completing monthly rounding and annual performance evaluations, and training staff on all general ledger and accounting functions
  • Assisting staff with the preparation and input of monthly journal entries
  • Overseeing capital and depreciation tracking
  • Leading the annual general ledger audit to include coordination with independent audit firm
  • Overseeing monthly financial statements and annual budgets for CMH Properties and Bolivar Medical Building LLC
  • Balancing grant expenses and ensuring compliance with grant financial reporting as outlined by federal guidelines

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and data processing/payroll required; management and healthcare accounting experience preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: Certified Public Accountant
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods performing computer tasks
