Job description:Granite PolisherPolish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power toolsApply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure the dimensions stay the sameVerify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible reworkEnsure proper use of equipmentTeamwork; helping coworkers in other stations if neededMaintain a clean stationResponsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.)Ensure safety procedures are followedOther duties as assignedExperience Desired:Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite, and QuartzExperience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fieldsExperience in material polishingExperience operating a forkliftEDUCATIONRequired:High School Diploma/GEDKNOWLEDGERequired:Basic knowledge in math (adding and subtracting measurements)Basic knowledge in maintenanceReading measuring toolsSKILLSAbility to lift and carry up to 40lbsSelf-confidenceFlexibilityInitiativeSafety orientedThis job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) upon hire.
