A granite fabricator turns a cut piece of stone into a polished piece of granite to use for a countertop surface or other home décor. Your responsibilities as a granite fabricator are to fabricate the piece and polish its top and edges. You may also help a homeowner find the right piece of granite to fit their design. Your duties also include making custom pieces of granite to fit odd-shaped or large surfaces, installing the granite piece, and inspecting the final product for flaws, such as scratches or cracks. Some granite fabricators also work with other types of stone.
