Job description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for transporting guests and employees from designated areas in Teton Valley, Idaho to the resort. Operate shuttle in a safe and efficient manner. Perform pre-trip inspections and tally ridership. A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity. CDL required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Arrive at work on time when scheduled.
  2. Greet guests and employees and maintain a friendly, professional attitude.
  3. Obtain and keep up-to-date a Wyoming or Idaho Class "C" Drivers' License with passenger endorsement.
  4. Adhere to safety rules to ensure safety of guests, employees and equipment.
  5. Conduct daily vehicle inspection prior to driving shuttle. Report any problems immediately in writing to Vehicle Maintenance Department.
  6. Report any personal driving infraction to Supervisor as soon as possible. Failure to do so could mean dismissal from duties.
  7. Some job sharing may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
  1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.
  2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort's Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
  5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  6. Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 25 years old and have a Class "C" CDL with passenger carrier endorsement or better. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Class "C" Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement or better.
