Sales Representative – Construction Control Systems Sales Job PostingSacramento Area, CA

We are an established contractor located in the Sacramento area, specializing in Unified Building Management Systems. As a company, we self perform all aspects of our deliverables including engineering, programming, graphic design, installation, start-up, commissioning and system service and support. We are currently seeking a “Sales Representative – Construction Control System Sales” team member for our Fresno, California location. The right applicant is one who is seeking a challenging and rewarding position. Your primary focus will be securing business through self-motivation and persistence. You will be required to understand all products and services we represent so you recognize every opportunity when presented.

Key Requirements

Core duties for a “Sales Representative – Construction Control System Sales” include:

Pay Range: $75,000 to $95,000 annual exempt salary paid weekly

Sales Duties
  • Achieve sales volume goals.
  • Reach client management goals. Clients include owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Develop strategies to achieve goals.
  • Identify and develop opportunities.
  • Search for new clients who will benefit from company products or services in designated regions or vertical markets by in person interaction.
  • Maintain existing client relationships with quarterly in person visits.
  • Serve existing clients by identifying needs and providing solutions with our product offerings.
  • Track sales activities and opportunities via Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Professional networking by joining and attending industry related organizations.
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Light travel required.
Project Requirements
  • Procure plans and specifications.
  • Estimate project costs.
  • Develop project proposals.
  • Bid projects in a competitive environment.
  • Follow-up on all proposals.
  • Negotiate proposal until business secured.
  • Support operations staff on any aspect of a project, as needed.
Mechanical / Electrical Engineers Support
  • Support mechanical engineers with temperature control & equipment design (AutoCAD) and specifications.
  • Support electrical engineers with lighting and plug load control design (AutoCAD) and specifications.
  • Perform Lunch and Learns highlighting new products, industry changes or other relevant topics.
  • Become recognized as an industry leader in our product offerings.
  • Prepare system budget during design development.
Competencies
  • Must be skilled in verbal and written communication in English with coworkers and customers.
  • Ability to work effectively with the public, graphic designers, programmers, and engineers.
  • Ability to manage and maintain multiple tasks on a day-by-day basis.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, self-starter who is flexible when changes occur.
General Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and /or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in engineering from a four-year college or university, or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Drug Testing/Background Check/DMV Check

Clean drug test at time of hire required. Live scan and/or background check at time of hire or as required by contract. Clean DMV record and proof of personal auto liability insurance.

Computer Skills

Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, required. Competent in AutoCAD preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills. Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously. Proven track record and use of common construction methods and tools. Working knowledge of Title 24 and HVAC machinery operation, both mechanically and electrically, is a plus.

Full time salary position paid weekly. (commensurate with experience)
