A Day in the Life:
Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned operations department. Supporting the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
Position Details: 12-hour rotating shift (48 hour week/36 hour week)
The compensation range for this position is $76,120.00-$85,680.00. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
  • Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
  • Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.
  • Provide Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.
  • Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects.
  • Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
  • Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift.
  • Monitor KPR's and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
  • Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required, or equivalent progressive experience or 3 years of experience in related industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed
  • Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required.
