Job description

Assistant Professor, Clinical - Department of Emergency Medicine
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor, Clinical - Department of Emergency Medicine at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):
Participate in the education of residents and fellows, including didactic, bedside and small group sessions.
Teach undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students.
Teach ACLS and BLS to Emergency Medicine students and residents for the School of Medicine.
Perform or provide support for research in emergency medicine, trauma and/or related areas of study.
Provide service to the University, School, Department and other external professional and community agencies.
Potential to serve as Clerkship Site Director at Detroit Receiving Hospital
Unique duties:
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD) from an accredited medical school required.
Valid Michigan medical license required.
Trained in Emergency Medicine residency program.
Ability to provide quality instruction to a variety of students.
Demonstrated ethical conduct, professionalism, interpersonal skills and management abilities.
