Madonna University invites applications from graduate students seeking meaningful professional experience while pursuing their graduate degree. Academic Graduate Assistants (GAs) work collaboratively with faculty and staff to support the University’s academic mission through instructional, research, student support, and administrative initiatives.

Graduate Assistant assignments are available in a variety of academic and administrative units based on departmental needs and the applicant’s education, experience, interests, and skills.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by assignment and may include:

  • Assist with academic, research, and administrative projects.
  • Support faculty, staff, and students in achieving departmental goals.
  • Assist with instructional technology, course preparation, and learning support.
  • Support laboratory, research, assessment, or accreditation activities, as applicable.
  • Assist with student engagement initiatives, events, and communications.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain data, reports, and documentation.
  • Perform other duties that support the mission and operations of the assigned department.
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be admitted to and enrolled in a Madonna University graduate degree program.
  • Maintain good academic standing throughout the appointment.
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 graduate credit hours during the Fall and Winter semesters.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work independently, collaboratively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn University software and systems.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $13.73 per hour
  • Average of 15–20 hours per week
  • Up to 18 graduate credit hours of tuition waiver per academic year, subject to eligibility and University policy

Department Assignment
