The Communications Intern reports to the SEVIS Coordinator and supports the Office of International Services (OIS) by assisting with the implementation of outreach efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:  Major in marketing, mass communications, or related field as an upper level undergraduate or graduate student. Enrolled as a full-time student with good academic standing at USF.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of marketing principles.  Ability to create videos using voice over presentations. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a group setting. Organized, multi-tasker with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.  Exposure to other cultures and intercultural situations including study abroad, living, and or traveling abroad, learning another language, or work abroad.

  • Providing simple graphic designs for outreach efforts and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate on targeted communication. 
  • Work with other student interns on materials needed for workshops and training. 
  • Represent the OIS and USF World at a variety of university events
  • Attend a weekly 1:1, Team Meeting, and OIS staff meeting.
  • Other duties as assigned
