Job Description

Job Title: LAMP/Perl Software Developer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6 Months


Required Skills:

3+ years of experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)

3+ years of experience with Perl

8+ years overall software development experience

Strong comfort-ability with UNIX command line 

Experience developing unit tests and implementing test automation

Experience developing REST or SOAP APIs

Experience developing high throughput, high availability transaction processing systems -- a big plus

High School graduate or GED

Preferred Skills:

Ability to take ownership of current Perl/PHP implementation and lead improvements

Ability to design new solutions to meet detailed business requirements 

Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Java programming and experience with Spring, Hibernate and related stack a big plus

Practical experience with SVN, branching, merging

A solid understanding of object oriented programming and design principles

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required

Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Ability to communicate effectively
