Job Summary
Design 2 Build (D2B) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This role will support and oversee high-end residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction methods, enjoys working collaboratively with architects, designers, subcontractors, and clients, and is motivated to grow within a quality-driven company.
Responsibilities 
  •  Manage and/or support all phases of construction projects from planning through closeout
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Assist with or lead project scheduling, sequencing, and milestone tracking
  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections
  • Secure and track permits and approvals
  • Review construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals
  •  Ensure jobsite safety and compliance with all building and safety regulations
  • Supervise field staff and subcontractors as required by role level
  • Maintain organized project documentation and provide regular progress reports 
Qualifications
  • 1–5+ years of construction project management experience (role level adjusted based on experience) 
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems in NYC
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and construction/project management software
  • Familiarity with NYC permitting, DOB processes, and residential construction standards preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to break complex projects into manageable steps and prioritize effectively
