Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and enrolled in a degree-granting program in the GSBS.

Job Description:

Student enrolled in masters or doctoral level program of study in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at University of Texas Medical Branch, establishing eligibility for support through educational stipend.

Job Duties:

  • Attends classes as required in the degree program enrolled
     
  • Performs laboratory work required in classes or research pertaining to the degree, under the direction of responsible faculty on institutional grant or contract
     
  • Student teaching or tutoring as related to professional training
     
  • Library research as needed for courses and independent investigation
     
  • Adheres to all student policies and regulations of the GSBS
     
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure
     
  • Performs related duties as required to fulfill personal academic requirements
     

Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience 
 

EQUIPMENT:
Varies with the specific research project associated with the student training.
 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Classroom, library, laboratory and/or clinical environment. May be exposed to occupational hazards found in a biomedical research laboratory and/or clinical environment.
