POSITION SPECIFICS

The Pennsylvania State University, Department ofEcosystem Science and Managementisseekinga detail-oriented and organized individual to provide administrative and professional support as a Graduate Program Coordinator. This role coordinates all aspects of the graduate program, from prospective student support to graduation certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for current and prospective graduate students

  • Coordinate recruitment, including inquiries, campus visits, and orientation

  • Monitor student progress, schedule exams and defenses, and manage Graduate School paperwork

  • Update systems including GRADS andmaintainstudent databases

  • Process graduate appointments, offer letters, and terminations

  • Schedule graduate courses andassiststudents with course planning

  • Provide administrative support to the Graduate Program Director

  • Maintain listservs and department forms

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Zoom.

  • Familiarity withLionPATH, GRADS, GRATS, GRMS,andWorkday.

Additional Information:

Afteran initialtraining period of 6 months, a hybrid work schedule may be approved by the supervisor.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None
