Summary
This position works under and reports to the Director of Career Services. The Graduate Placement Coordinator position is a vital role responsible for connecting students or program participants with potential employers. These professionals work diligently to understand the needs and aspirations of the students and align them with suitable job opportunities. By maintaining strong relationships with companies and staying up-to-date with market trends, Placement Coordinators ensure that candidates are well-prepared and positioned for success. This role involves various tasks, ranging from reengaging graduates to providing personalized career counseling, making it both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities for students.
  • Assist students with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Conduct individual and group career counseling sessions.
  • Track and monitor student placement data and employment outcomes.
  • Update and maintain job placement databases and career resources.
  • Provide ongoing support to students throughout their job search process.
