The Intramural Athletics Program is looking to bring on a Graduate Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. 

Description of Duties: (20 hours per week - Approximately 15 hours dedicated to intramural athletics, approximately 5 hours of record keeping of game results and writing up of daily scoresheets). 

  • Assist with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the intramural athletics program which includes but is not limited to:   

  • Writing up the daily scoresheets. 

  • Field preparation (weekly lining of fields and daily set-up and break-down of equipment). 

  • Daily supervision of game officials and officiating as needed. 

  • Score keeping and recording of game results. 

  • Daily Communications with Athletic Officers, team captains, and intramural team members. 

  • Promotion of upcoming events. 

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Organization and operation of an intramural athletics program. 

  • Leadership skills required to run a successful team. 

  • Communication skills required to promote a program. 

  • Record keeping skills required to track success.

Assistantships are available for graduate students who carry a minimum of six credit hours each semester. Assistants must also remain in good academic standing from semester to semester to continue an appointment. However, an appointment is not guaranteed from semester to semester. Once hired, graduate assistants work approximately 20 hours each week. Assistants receive an hourly rate in accordance with the current Graduate Assistantship hourly pay policy.
