Job Summary
This GME Program Coordinator position supports the UK Family Medicine Residency Program located at UK HealthCare-Turfland.
This position collaborates with program director and the GME Office in the daily operational oversight of the program(s), as outlined in the ACGME Institutional, Common Program and Specialty Program Guidelines for Graduate Medical Education. This position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
This person will develop, initiate and/or direct a wide range of programmatic activities including program planning, project development and management, recruiting, updating policies, and using databases and residency management software system (MedHub). This position interacts with faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students and managing internal and external program relations. The position is essential in training program operations and is a primary resource for learners, faculty and administrative staff, as well as liaison between the Residency Program Director, chief residents, residents, program faculty, GME Office, and affiliated teaching sites concerning residency program matters. This position is a requirement of the accrediting agency, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with trainees, faculty, staff, and leadership while maintaining positive working relationships and providing excellent customer service. Proven attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new processes, concepts, policies, and software systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Willingness to obtain Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification within 3 years of hire date.
