Job Location:ย Clifton, NJย 

Job Schedule:ย 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday offย 

Job Description:ย 

Develops,ย implementsย and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. Defines,ย developsย and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools,ย strategiesย and systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Activelyย participatesย with engineering project teamsย in order toย coordinate the release of new products. Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs,ย determinesย time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.ย 

The candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the development, improvement, and optimization of multiple processes and techniques, including circuit card assembly, standard module assembly, and electro-mechanical final assembly. The work will include improving andย optimizingย current processes, implementing new tooling, improving existing tooling, and creating robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling.ย 

Essential Functions:ย 

  • Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metricsย 

  • Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-productsย 

  • Work with existing and legacy equipmentย 

  • Control andย improveย existing processesย 

  • Perform failure analysis and risk mitigationย 

  • Complete technical writing and training related tasksย 

  • Coordinate with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and trainingย 

  • Ability to obtain a US security clearanceย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree,ย minimumย of 8 years of prior related experience.ย 

Preferred Additional Skills:ย ย 

  • Strong problem-solving and data analysis skillsย 

  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background preferredย 

  • Experience with legacy tooling, code, and equipmentย 

  • Robust project management and technical writing skillsย 

  • Ability to communicate project status and risks to leadership teamย 

  • Expertiseย in making data driven decisions to improve and develop processesย 

  • Experience using DFM, Six-Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Principlesย 

  • Experience using DMAIC process and associated toolsย 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey area is $82,500.00 - $153,000.00.ย This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
