EQUILIBRIUM is looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our team in Atlanta.

EQUILIBRIUM is an award-winning mid-sized consulting Structural Engineering firm working on a diverse range of ambitious projects both locally and internationally. EQUILIBRIUM was founded in Vancouver in 1998 with a focus on progressive and innovative building projects, sustainability-oriented construction, and particularly projects utilizing timber construction.

While still based in Vancouver, BC, we are growing our presence in the US and France with our offices in Atlanta, GA and Paris respectively.

We have many exciting projects on the go in the US including multiple early-stage designs for mass timber residential towers, two residence hall projects at Georgia Tech, a mass timber office building in Atlanta, a large corporate headquarters in California, and more.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Perform structural analysis and develop designs from concept through construction with the support of the EQUILIBRIUM team.
  • Communicate your designs to our drafting team and coordinate the development of structural BIM models and drawings.

  • Interest in embodied carbon and minimizing the climate impact of structural design.
  • Seismic analysis and design experience an asset.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with structural analysis software such as RFEM, ETABS, SAFE, GSA, etc.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills a must. Must thrive while working in a collaborative environment.
  • Enthusiasm and love for learning.
  • Disciplined work ethic with great attitude and energy.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and teams concurrently.
  • Organized, self-motivated, pro-active, detail-oriented, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Problem-solver and critical thinker.
