What is a graduate biomedical engineering degree?
A graduate biomedical engineering degree is usually a master's degree that focuses on the research and design of medical devices and equipment, as well as programming the software necessary for such devices to work. Biomedical engineers help develop artificial organs, prosthetic body parts, and various other devices as needed. Many also repair and troubleshoot such devices. Depending on the type of work you do as a graduate biomedical engineer, you may work closely with doctors and other direct healthcare providers to help them implant and configure medical devices in particularly complex cases.
