Overview Carle Health is seeking
Pediatric Audiologist
to join the Expanding Children’s Hearing Opportunities (ECHO) program in Urbana, Illinois. The ECHO team includes professionals in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology, deaf education, and Otolaryngology, who work together to support children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families. ECHO encompasses two programs; the Pediatric Hearing Center and the Carle Auditory Oral School.
Opportunity Details The ECHO program is unique in that it offers comprehensive services for children who are deaf and hard of hearing in a single, dedicated location. Founded in 1987, the ECHO program was the first cochlear implant program offered in the state of Illinois and has played a fundamental role in the field of pediatric hearing care Our Pediatric Audiologists provide a full range of comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation services, including diagnostic assessment, ABR testing, hearing aid and BAHS fitting, cochlear implant evaluation and programming, and CAPD assessment. Join a collegial team with 4 Audiologists, 7 Speech and Language Pathologists, 2 ENT Physicians, and an Advanced Practice Provider Participation in interdisciplinary ECHO team meetings Assist with provision of educational and community outreach Caseload depends on clinical skills, experience, and interest Supervision, instruction, and evaluation of Audiology graduate students Opportunities for continuing education are available onsite and offsite Excellent benefits package: health/dental/life insurance, 403-B plan with employer match, LTD, relocation allowance, CME allowance and paid malpractice insurance with tail insurance coverage
Candidate Requirements: Doctorate or Master’s degree in Audiology Experience with hearing aids and implantable technology preferred New grads welcome to apply Eligible for Illinois Audiology Licensure Current Illinois Audiologist license; if an applicant is licensed in Audiology under the laws of another state and presents proof of application for IL licensure, they may practice for a period of 90 days from the date of application New grads must present proof of application for IL licensure, they may practice for a period of 60 days from the date of application under supervision upon hire ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) within 1 year, required to be able to train and precept Audiology students Basic Life Support certification

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $37.48 - $64.47/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.
