Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in business administration or similar field of study preferred


Work Experience:

  • 1+ years of merchant support and/or retail experience preferred

  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to develop multiple projects, and effectively manage a large volume of work
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision

  • Provide superior customer service, demonstrating sound logic and judgment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external, including investors, directors and executive officers

Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple Buyers and Assistant Buyers
  • Enter, revise, proof, email and track import and domestic purchase orders
  • Work within department, vendor, seasonal and import deadlines
  • UPC retrieval, entry and maintenance
  • Enter, edit and complete import, domestic and private label items
  • Create and revise Item and Location lists
  • Enter and process item cost changes,
  • Maintain knowledge of Retail Merchandising System (RMS) systems regarding items and purchase orders
  • Enter and process buyer's expense reports weekly and monthly
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change; Associates may be required to perform other tasks as assigned

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Regular attendance required
  • Flexibility to work weekends as required
