Job Description Summary
To assist with the daily operation of the strength and conditioning department, and to ensure the safety of the athletes utilizing equipment in the strength and conditioning facility.
Must have been awarded Federal Work Study.
Job Description
Duties and Tasks:
Staff will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Setting up and breaking down equipment for team training sessions
  • Enforcing the Strength and Conditioning rules & regulations
  • Ensuring injured or class conflict athletes are supported
  • Keeping the facility clean and sanitary, including but not limited to, wiping down the equipment throughout the day as well as correcting or reporting any safety/maintenance issues that might arise
  • Monitoring the facility when required
  • Other duties as assigned by the Strength & Conditioning staff

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proof of current certification, or must be willing to be certified in CPR, AED Essentials, and Standard First Aid, prior to working.
  • Strength & Conditioning student workers will also be required to complete the Blood Borne Pathogen Training course.
  • Required Skills: Reliability, Dependability, Punctuality, Self-Confidence, and the willingness and ability to take charge.
  • Abilities: Must be able to work evening and weekends

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Federal Work Study required
  • Must be a current or incoming full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours per semester)
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Previous knowledge, training, or experience is preferred but not required

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs
