General Summary

With the guidance of one or more staff or faculty members, perform a mixture of services in support of communication, technology, business operations or student affairs activities as more than 50% of their service. The Staff Graduate Assistant receives a stipend and tuition waiver subject to federal tax.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing to plan and execute athletics marketing campaigns for fan attendance and community engagement.
Develop and lead all marketing, fan engagement, and game production for assigned sports.
Act as secondary on-field marketing coordinator for all Eastern Football games.
Coordinate the administration and management of Swoop's Jr. Eagles Kids Club.
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Marketing to assist the Eagle Nation student fan group in promoting home athletic events.
Assist with digital marketing campaigns related to email, social media, and digital advertising.
Assist with management of the Athletics Marketing Student Internship program.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Kinesiology, Communications, Business, or a related field is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, high energy, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community are required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently is required.
Understanding and working ability with the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Previous experience with a sports organization is encouraged.
