Point University is a Christian institution that educates our students within a Christian worldview, so they are equipped to take their faith into the marketplace and all of life while achieving their professional goals. We are training the next generation of Christian leaders to take the cross to more job sites, churches, industries, and nations than ever before. The Graduate Assistant reports directly to the General Manager.
The Graduate Assistant will ensure recreational golf is enjoyable and accessible while directing and administering all aspects of operations using University and course policies and procedures.

  • Must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starter.
  • Must be extremely organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and plan with people easily and quickly.
  • Must have the skills to exercise good independent judgment in assessing situations and making decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for organizing and managing various golf-related programs.
  • Responsible for planning and organizing golf classes.
  • Responsible for promoting and marketing golf activities.
  • Coordinates all marketing, branding, and public relations efforts for Point University Golf Club.
  • Works to build the overall brand of the Point University Golf Club and helps its departments and programs achieve their specific goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service with members and guests.
  • Responsible for tracking feedback and participation across programs.
  • Coordinating volunteer or staff assistance with events and trainings.
  • Responsible for managing junior, youth, family, and adult programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining golf program records.
  • Staying up to date on current golf instruction and events within the industry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Working Conditions
  • While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to physically demonstrate intended activities.
  • The employee often is required to walk, stand, talk, or hear, handle, feel, or operate objects.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally.
  • Noise level is moderately quiet.
  • Work extended hours during the golf and holiday season.
  • Work weekends and holidays.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in golf instruction.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Experience in instructing diverse age groups.
  • Must have strong interpersonal aptitude.
