Job description

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Graduate Assistant for our Women's Soccer program. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable collegiate coaching experience while pursuing a graduate degree with Faulkner University. The selected individual will assist the Head Coach to support all aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, training management, operations, and compliance. This individual will serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes, uphold the mission of Faulkner University, and contribute to a competitive and enriching team environment. Faulkner University is an NAIA Division I member and is competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time, 9-month position (Aug - April).

Summary of Duties:

  • Assist in planning and conducting training sessions
  • Support game-day preparation, warm ups, positional coaching, and bench management
  • Assist with identifying and evaluating prospective student athletes; help coordinate recruiting communications, campus visits, and talent assessments
  • Support general team operations including travel, equipment management, practice setup, and facility coordination
  • Assist in organizing community engagement, service projects, and team events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Previous coaching experience preferred
  • Goalkeeper experience preferred
  • Frequent evening and weekend hours, and travel
