Job description

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals and electronic recycling. We tailor recycling programs for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. PADNOS was founded over a century ago and continues to transform the recycling industry. The company has thrived as a family business through four generations and has grown to be a market leader and best in class innovator.
Position Summary:
Our Large Equipment Operator are responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to switch trucks, hydraulic cranes, mobile cranes, loaders, and trac-mobiles. This role supports daily yard operations by moving, loading, and preparing materials as needed. The Equipment Operator is expected to actively demonstrate and support PADNOS company values while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. A valid driver's license is required.
Schedule
  • M-F 6:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks or railcars and move materials to designated areas
  • Maintain basic production, inventory, shipment, and equipment maintenance records as required
  • Identify and distinguish between different grades and types of materials
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing loads and assist with material grading when applicable
  • Assist with hand-sorting materials as needed to support yard operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Minimum of six months of experience operating large equipment
  • Safety-oriented with a commitment to safe work practices
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment
  • Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated
