Job description

Hoopaugh Grading Company, LLC ("HGC") is actively seeking a utilities loader operator. This position will be under the direction and supervision of a foreman or superintendent and will work with a team of other construction professionals. The job description noted below is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to give the employee a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of his/her position.
What You Bring:
โ€ข Safely unload truckloads of pipe and precast structures.
โ€ข Hook and rig pipe and structures for pipe layer.
โ€ข Keep job site clean of trash and debris.
โ€ข Safely load and move stone and material around job site.
โ€ข Utilize HGC's Core Values in daily duties.
โ€ข Communicate professionally with everyone on site, including but not limited to supervisors, teammates, contractors, clients and vendor partners.
โ€ข Understand, interpret and follow goals and directions from a foreman or superintendent
โ€ข Maintain attendance at work, including presence at work during regular work hours or other schedule as may be assigned by the foreman or superintendent. Acceptance of overtime assignments also may be required in order to operational needs.
โ€ข Maintain a clean inside of all equipment.
โ€ข Understand and interpret why tasks are assigned to the loader.
โ€ข Demonstrate mastery of the pipe installation process
โ€ข Maintain a clean and organized lay down area.
โ€ข Attend training at HGC Academy .
Other Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Perform other various assignments as assigned, including but not limited to: assisting in other roles on the crew.
What our team needs from you:
โ€ข Must be willing to learn.
โ€ข Experience running a Rubber Tire Loader.
โ€ข Must be familiar with utility staking for staging materials.
โ€ข Must be familiar with OSHA Trenching and Shoring requirements.
โ€ข One (1) year or more of industry-related experience is required for this position.
โ€ข Must be willing to work Monday through Friday 7AM-5:30PM, or other schedule as may be assigned by the foreman or superintendent, as well as Saturdays when needed.
โ€ข Must be able to understand site goals and direction.
โ€ข Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates.
โ€ข Ability to understand site goals and direction.
โ€ข Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
โ€ข Must have reliable transportation.
โ€ข Must be 18 years of age or older.
