Job description

Overview
The Student Assistant (Training Unit) works with Auburn University Outreach's Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) to support professional training courses and workshops. This role helps with preparing materials, organizing supplies, and assisting with online and in-person training logistics. It's a great opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in event support, office operations, and training coordination.
Responsibilities
  • Photocopy, print, and assemble course packets and training resources
  • Assist with grading course exams and processing participant evaluations
  • Track, organize, and restock training supplies
  • Support mass mailings and maintain training-related data and records
  • Assist with Canvas course pages and hybrid or online course setup
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Enrolled Auburn University student
  • Ability to work 15 hours per week during normal work hours
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
