The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school community in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of Elementary Teacher.
For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield School District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirements.
Qualifications Include:
  • Certification as Elementary School Teacher in Grades K - 6 required
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the NJSLS
  • Familiarity in working with data to help make informed instructional decisions
  • Strong skill set in lesson planning, behavior management, curriculum development, assessment, and integrating various educational resources.
  • Growth mindset - the district provides professional development and employs instructional coaches to support teachers in their pedagogy

Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
