JOB TITLE: Clinician II/Clinician III
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a FLSA non-exempt position. The incumbent is responsible for triage, screening, assessment, initial treatment planning, authorization of services and referral for consumers who are seeking services at Region Ten Community Services Board and are not currently enrolled. The incumbent is also responsible for providing and extending counseling, education and rehabilitation services to adult clients of Region Ten within group and individual setting. The incumbent must be comfortable serving a diverse group of clients, including but not limited to, those who are chemically dependent, co-occurring mental illness and substance use/abuse, housing insecure, and involved with the justice system. The incumbent reports to the Access and Adult Clinical Services (AACS) Program Director for the schedule and assignment of work duties. Incumbent is monitored, trained and supervised in the performance of tasks by the Program Director. Incumbent is expected to perform duties as specified and according to the policies of Region Ten Community Services Board.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CLINCIAN II
• MASTER'S DEGREE AND LICENSE ELIGIBLE ACCORDING THE DHP DEFINITION:
• MASTER'S DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY, SOCIAL WORK, COUNSELING, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, OR MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY. EDUCATION VERIFIED BY AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT WITH CONFERRAL DATE
• EVIDENCE YOU HAVE HAD AN INTERN OR PRACTICUM OF AT LEAST 500 HOURS OF EXPERIENCE WITH PERSONS WHO HAVE A MENTAL ILLNESS. (VERIFICATION OF INTERNSHIP/PRACTICUM FOR QMHP FORM)
• IS UNDER THE DIRECT PERSONAL SUPERVISION OF A PERSON LICENSED UNDER VIRGINIA LAW, WHO IS WORKING TOWARDS LICENSURE, AND WHO IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE APPROPRIATE VIRGINIA LICENSING BOARD MAY PERFORM THE FUNCTIONS OF THE LMHP FOR PURPOSES OF MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT. THE BOARD OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS REFERS TO MASTERS PREPARED INDIVIDUALS IN COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGY AS "RESIDENT". THE BOARD OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS REFERS TO MASTERS PREPARED INDIVIDUALS IN SOCIAL WORK AS "SUPERVISEE". FOR PURPOSES OF MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT, THESE PERSONS SHALL USE LMHP-E AFTER THEIR SIGNATURES TO INDICATE THIS STATUS. ADDITIONALLY, A PERSON WHO CAN REGISTER WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF HIRE. IN THIS CASE, A NEWLY HIRED CLINICIAN'S CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT ON MEETING THE DEFINITION ABOVE WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HIRE.

• LICENSED CLINICIANS AS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
• LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR (LPC)
• LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW)
• LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST (LMFT)
• CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS
EDUCATION:
• A MASTER'S DEGREE IN A HUMAN SERVICES FIELD (REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE:
• Comfort around use of computers and electronic health records is (required)
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
• LCSW, LPC, OR CERTIFIED SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR (CSAC) IS PREFERRED
• TO ENSURE THE SAFE AND EFFICIENT OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM, A VALID VIRGINIA DRIVER'S LICENSE PLUS AN ACCEPTABLE DRIVING RECORD AS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED.
• FOR BUSINESS USE OF A PERSONAL CAR, A CERTIFICATE OF VALID PERSONAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE MUST BE PROVIDED. MASTER'S DEGREE PREFERRED.
HOURLY SALARY RANGE:
GRADE 10- CLINICIAN II: $25.00 - $34.68 per hour
GRADE 11- CLINICIAN III: $27.40 - 38.15 per hour
