You will help shape Gracenote's growth agenda through financial leadership across revenue predictability, product and customer profitability, new product introduction support, pricing strategy, and go-to-market decision support.

This is a senior commercial finance leadership role requiring a candidate who has led commercial finance within a subscription-based business or deep technology enterprise and has successfully driven commercial transformation across pricing, forecasting, go-to-market rigor, and profitability management.

What You'll Do

Financial Leadership and Commercial Enablement

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the senior finance partner to the Chief Business Officer, Chief Product Officer, and commercial leadership team, providing financial guidance on growth priorities, product economics, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution.

- Lead commercial transformation initiatives across pricing, forecasting, deal governance, performance visibility, and financial accountability to improve commercial rigor and support scalable growth.

- Partner across the broader finance organization to ensure commercial insights, assumptions, and business drivers are reflected in consolidated forecasting, planning, and executive decision support, while maintaining clear accountability for commercial enablement leadership.

- Lead complex financial and operational modeling across revenue streams, customer segments, product lines, cost structures, and growth scenarios to support investment decisions, resource allocation, pricing strategy, margin expansion, and forecasting.

- Lead the commercial enablement agenda through pipeline and sales forecasting, top-client renewal analytics, product line profitability, customer and product churn and migration analysis, and performance insights that improve revenue visibility and decision-making.

- Provide significant financial support for New Product Introductions through product market fit analytics, revenue and cost planning, scenario modeling, and launch decision support.

- Partner across Commercial, Product, Core FP&A, Deal Desk, Pricing, and Revenue Accounting to improve alignment on pricing strategy, renewal economics, product allocations, revenue reporting, sales incentive alignment, and broader commercial governance.

- Partner with Sales Leadership on quota design and optimization to align incentives with regional market dynamics and strategic growth priorities.

- Oversee the commission lifecycle to ensure transparency, accuracy, auditability, and strong financial governance while minimizing shadow accounting across the sales organization.

- Modernize commercial finance processes through automated reporting, AI-enabled analysis, and scalable data solutions that shift the team from manual analysis to strategic insight generation.

- Define scalable financial frameworks for product-level revenue allocation, cost attribution, and by-product profitability to improve transparency, decision support, and long-term reporting consistency.

- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team across product-facing and commercial-facing responsibilities, creating scalable organizational capacity and strong succession planning for future finance leadership needs.

Collaborate and Influence

- Partner closely with the Chief Business Officer, Chief Product Officer, Gracenote CEO, SVP Finance, and leaders across Commercial, Product, Operations, and Revenue Accounting to drive alignment on business priorities and scalable growth initiatives.

- Prepare and deliver clear, decision-oriented materials for senior leadership, Nielsen Sponsors, and the Board of Directors, translating complex commercial and financial topics into actionable executive narratives.

- Lead the commercial financial storytelling for Gracenote's growth trajectory, ensuring commercial execution, product investment, and market performance are accurately reflected in financial outcomes and strategic decision-making.

- Operate effectively in dynamic environments with evolving ownership boundaries, incomplete data, and shifting priorities, bringing clarity, structure, and cross-functional alignment to complex business decisions.

Qualifications

- 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Corporate Finance, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role within a SaaS, Data, Communications, or Media Technology company.

- Proven experience partnering with senior commercial and product leaders on forecasting, pricing, profitability, product investment decisions, and go-to-market analytics.

- Proven experience leading commercial finance in a subscription-based company or deep technology enterprise, with a track record of driving commercial transformation across pricing, forecasting, profitability, and go-to-market decision support.

- Proven track record of leading sophisticated business modeling and forecasting, influencing cross-functional decisions, and navigating organizational transformation in dynamic environments.

- Exceptional ability to distill complex financial and commercial concepts into clear, executive-level narratives for senior business leaders, the CFO, and the Board of Directors.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.

- Proven ability to build scalable frameworks, improve decision quality, and drive accountability in high-growth, rapidly changing environments.

- Proven ability to develop, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.

Why Join Gracenote?

You will be at the heart of Gracenote's growth agenda, helping shape how the business scales its commercial engine, evaluates product investments, and drives profitable expansion.
