Job description

A nail technician is responsible for providing professional nail care services to clients. Their tasks include:
  1. Manicures & Pedicures: Cleaning, shaping, and polishing nails, as well as providing hand and foot massages.
  2. Nail Art & Design: Creating custom designs, including painting, applying decals, and creating other artistic designs on nails.
  3. Gel: Applying and maintaining gel, including applying gel polish correctly.
  4. Client Consultation: Understanding client preferences and providing recommendations for nail care.
  5. Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, ensuring tools are sterilized, and following health and safety guidelines. Cleaning and disinfecting nail tools, bowls, facial bowls, etc.,
  6. Customer Service: Offering a positive experience, addressing client needs, and ensuring satisfaction with services.
  7. Sales of Products: Recommending and selling nails care products like lotions, polishes, and tools, giving a description of spa staff menus, soaking tubs & steam/sauna
  8. Assisting at reception desk & greeting guests is a shared responsibility, booking appointments & computer skills are highly recommended

Requirements
In addition to technical skills, nail technicians must have good communication, attention to detail, and be able to maintain a friendly and professional attitude. Work attendance & punctuality is a must, team effort is important, must have good attendance, passion for services, able to respectfully take direction, follow Kah-nee-ta Policy & procedures. Certificate of completion of beauty school requirements, Oregon health authority license to practice In Oregon.
Any Certificate of completion is transferable to comply with Oregon state health authority expectations.
