Job Summary:
The University of Copenhagen's StarPlan section of the Globe Institute is seeking a Research Software Engineer to contribute to the understanding of planetary system formation. The role involves developing software for scientific purposes, particularly focusing on GPU-based simulations and collaborating on various high-performance computing projects.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with an international team of researchers on understanding the origins of planetary formation through theoretical and computational approaches.
• Develop and maintain the planet formation module of the Genga program.
• Document the planet formation module for use by group members and the scientific community.
• Assist with code development in various ongoing scientific code development projects in Python, Fortran, C, and C++.
