Job description

Role: Consent & Privacy Management (CPM) Solutions Engineer
We are seeking a Privacy Technology Solutions Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise privacy technology solutions, with an initial focus on customer consent and preference management capabilities.
As the first dedicated hire on this initiative, you will play a key role in shaping the organization's privacy technology strategy, designing scalable architecture for consent collection and enforcement, and integrating privacy controls across digital, marketing, analytics, and enterprise platforms.
You will serve as both a hands-on engineer and a strategic advisor, helping the organization balance regulatory compliance with business needs, analytics, personalization, and customer experience objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise privacy technology solutions from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, integration development, testing, deployment, operational readiness, documentation, and knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Architect, configure, and deploy our Consent Management Platform (e.g., Syrenis, Ketch, OneTrust, or similar) across web, mobile apps, and portal experiences.
• Design and implement scalable integrations between privacy platforms and enterprise systems, including identity and access management (IAM), CRM, customer data platforms (CDPs), marketing platforms, data warehouses, analytics solutions, and downstream business applications to ensure consistent enforcement of privacy preferences across the technology ecosystem.
• Establish standardized onboarding patterns, integration frameworks, governance processes, and implementation playbooks that enable new applications and business services to be efficiently onboarded to the privacy platform while maintaining consistency, scalability, and compliance. Develop reusable processes, technical standards, support models, and monitoring capabilities to drive sustainable platform operations and accelerate adoption across the enterprise.
• Define consent categories (Strictly Necessary, Performance, Functional, Targeting/Advertising) and establish clear data lineage for user preferences.
• Integrate consent signals with Google Tag Manager (GTM), Segment, Adobe Experience Platform, or Server-Side Tagging to dynamically trigger/block scripts based on real-time consent choices (Google Consent Mode v2, IAB TCF 2.2, etc.).
• Partner with Marketing, AdOps, and Analytics teams to analyze opt-in rates, minimize attribution loss, and implement privacy-first tracking strategies (e.g., Server-Side GTM, Conversion APIs / CAPI).
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing and UX teams to design intuitive cookie banners and granular Preference Centers that optimize opt-in rates while remaining strictly compliant with global privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, Virginia CDPA, etc.).
• Design data pipelines to sync preference choices back to enterprise systems (CRM, CDP, Data Warehouse / Snowflake, Marketing Automation platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Marketo).
• Build analytics dashboards to track consent opt-in/opt-out rates across geolocations, domains, and entry points, identifying technical anomalies or UX friction points.
• Establish continuous automated scanning processes to audit third-party tags, scripts, and cookies, eliminating "rogue" unclassified scripts.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Digital Analytics, M arTech, or Data Engineering, with at least 3+ years dedicated to Consent Management Platforms (CMP).
• Deep hands-on configuration experience in enterprise CMP tools (Syrenis, OneTrust, Ketch, Cookiebot, or Didomi).
• Technical Proficiency:
o Advanced Tag Management skills (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, or Adobe Launch).
o Strong proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and browser storage mechanisms (Cookies, LocalStorage, IndexedDB).
o Experience with API integrations (REST, Webhooks) for syncing consent states to backend databases.
o Familiarity with SQL for analyzing consent event datasets.
• Strong understanding of technical compliance requirements including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, IAB TCF 2.2, Global Privacy Control (GPC), and Google Consent Mode v2.
• Background in Server-Side tagging and modern privacy-safe identity solutions.
• Hands-on experience working with AdTech/MarTech tools (Google Analytics 4, Meta CAPI, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, CDPs like Segment/Tealium).
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Privacy Professional or similar technical certification.
• Experience implementing CMP solutions within complex multi-brand, multi-domain, or multi-region enterprise environments.
• Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
Salary Range- $100,000-$120,000 a year
