The Stratospheric ISR business unit within Ondas Sentinel is focused on one of the most unique mission areas in aerospace and defense: manufacturing and operating high-altitude stratospheric balloon systems. Job Description 

At Ondas Sentinel we are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer/Designer with knowledge in electrical engineering principles to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing avionics systems, power systems, and communication systems based on a single board computer architecture, such as Raspberry Pi. This role demands a fast-paced approach to design, from concept to implementation, with an emphasis on out-of-the-box thinking and the operationalization of off-the-shelf components for use in high-altitude environments. 

Role Responsibilities: 

         Design and development of complex electrical systems for avionics applications, ensuring simplicity and modularity.  

         Rapidly conceptualize, design, and prototype innovative, out of the box solutions for avionics systems, power systems and communication systems based on single board computer architectures.  

         Employ advanced circuit design and power system knowledge to create and enhance electrical devices capable of operating in the stratosphere.  

         Demonstrate analytical prowess in solving unconventional engineering problems, designing experiments, and analyzing intricate data sets.  

         Innovate and push the boundaries of electrical engineering, developing cutting-edge systems and fostering a culture of creativity.  

         Provide expertise in complex circuit analysis and predict circuit behavior under challenging conditions.  

         Document designs thoroughly, write detailed test plans and procedures, and produce technical documentation that sets organizational standards.  

         Communicate complex technical ideas effectively to diverse audiences, including technical reporting and presentations.  

         Maintain an exceptional level of precision and attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring the highest standard of system performance and accuracy.  

         Lead and collaborate with project teams, integrating various disciplines and mentoring others in teamwork and collaboration techniques.  

         Apply advanced theories and methods to design and analysis, guiding the team in problem-solving.  

Qualifications: 

         Electrical Engineering degree or other technical degree with equivalent work experience  

         3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience  

         Proficient with analog and digital circuit design, building, and testing circuits in a lab environment   

         Proven experience in advanced circuit design, power systems, and avionics systems.  

         Demonstrated experience with single board computer systems, such as Raspberry Pi, and the ability to ruggedize  commercial off-the-shelf components for non-standard environments.  

         Strong background in technical writing and documentation.  

         Excellent communication and presentation skills.  

         Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work collaboratively.
