Job Summary

Cleveland Petroleum Products, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, is seeking a Commercial & Industrial Fuel Sales Representative based near OKC or Tulsa, to develop new customer relationships and grow sales volumes across the region. 

This role focuses on commercial fuel and propane applications for businesses that rely on dependable supply for fleets, heavy equipment, industrial operations, and material handling equipment. 

The successful candidate will identify high-consumption fuel users, develop long-term customer relationships, and deliver energy solutions that improve reliability and operational efficiency. Professionals who have sold fuel, lubricants, propane, industrial gases, welding supplies, or equipment to commercial customers often excel in this role. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy focused on commercial fuel and propane gallon growth in the Tulsa region  
  • Identify and secure new commercial and industrial fuel accounts  
  • Prospect businesses that rely on bulk fuel, propane, or lubricant supply for daily operations  
  • Target industries such as:  
    • Construction and heavy equipment contractors  
    • Agricultural operations and farm cooperatives  
    • Oilfield service and energy companies  
    • Manufacturing and fabrication facilities  
    • Warehousing and logistics operations  
    • Trucking fleets and transportation companies  
    • Businesses operating propane-powered forklifts  
  • Promote services including:  
    • Bulk fuel delivery  
    • Propane supply and tank systems  
    • Forklift cylinder exchange programs  
    • On-site fueling and fuel management solutions  
    • Industrial lubricants and equipment fluids  
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate fuel consumption and identify supply opportunities  
  • Build long-term relationships with owners, fleet managers, plant managers, and operations leaders  
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and manage account activity using CRM tools  
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure dependable deliveries and service

Education, Certification, Licenses Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in business or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience in fuel distribution, petroleum products, propane, lubricants, industrial gases, or related industries preferred
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory

Skills & Abilities: 

  • Experience selling into commercial, fleet, or industrial markets
  • Strong prospecting and new business development skills  
  • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships  
  • Strong communication and negotation skills
  • Self motivated and comfortable managing a geographic sales territory
  • CRM experience preferred (Salesforce or similar systems)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
