To thrive as a GP specializing in Pediatric Dentistry, you need a dental degree (DDS or DMD), licensure, and specialized training or experience in treating children’s dental needs. Familiarity with dental radiography, dental charting software, and pediatric sedation techniques is typically required. Exceptional communication, patience, and the ability to build rapport with children and parents are vital soft skills. These competencies ensure safe, effective care while fostering trust and long-term oral health in young patients.
