Job description

At Anchorage Digital, we are building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto.

Anchorage Digital is a crypto platform that enables institutions to participate in digital assets through custody, staking, trading, governance, settlement, and the industry's leading security infrastructure.

With the evolving landscape of digital threats and an increasing volume of sophisticated attacks by malicious actors, we have a security policy mandating all new hires complete an in‑person onboarding process – no exceptions. Security is our foundation and we prioritize physical identity verification and secure IT setup. While our security and IT logistics require physical presence to protect our infrastructure from sophisticated global threats, this move is equally about our Village culture. We believe that a laptop can be shipped, but our culture cannot.

As the Director of Government Solutions Managed Services, you will be the premier technical advisor to the public sector, translating operational field requirements into multi‑tiered strategies to support global missions. You will bridge the gap between complex digital asset infrastructure and the mission‑critical needs of law enforcement, defense, national security, and regulatory agencies. This is a high‑visibility role where you will not only lead client delivery and GTM operational excellence but also act as the face of our brand.

This role demands fluency in both government operations and digital asset infrastructure. You must be able to execute independently, influence across teams without formal authority, and operate in high‑performance, ambiguous environments. You’ll be responsible for leading solution design, working alongside Legal, Product, Engineering, and other teams. You’ll know when to involve other business lines (e.g. custody, trading, staking, etc.) to offer clients the full strength of our platform.

You’ll partner closely with our Head of Government Solutions, who owns strategic public sector relationships and market expansion efforts. Together, you’ll create a one‑two punch of government success, strategy and deployment in seamless coordination.

Technical Skills:
  • Deep familiarity with practical on‑chain privacy vectors, including wallet layering mechanics, cross‑chain protocol routing, and zero‑knowledge privacy protocols.
  • Advanced experience in blockchain forensics and transaction analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with institutional‑grade reporting, compliance frameworks, and secure integrations in regulated environments.
  • Intermediate knowledge of crypto custody infrastructure and secure key management.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
  • Shapes how the public sector securely utilizes digital assets at scale.
  • Drives adoption and operational credibility for the firm in the public sector.
  • Leads client experience to develop, enhance, and operationalize managed services procedures, compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Operates with minimal oversight in complex regulatory and operational settings.
Organizational Knowledge:
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal and other teams to align internal delivery.
  • Maintain feedback loops with the Head of Government Solutions to evolve GTM strategy based on implementation insights.
Communication and Influence:
  • Builds trust with senior government officials across Legal, Compliance, operational, and technical roles.
  • Represents the company with credibility and clarity in agency meetings and high‑profile forums.
  • Synthesizes complex public sector needs into actionable roadmaps for internal execution.
  • Partners effectively across product, compliance, customer experience, and GTM functions to represent institutional client interests.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
  • 8–15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in crypto or digital assets, and familiarity with institutional‑grade custody solutions, trading, and compliance.
  • A deep understanding of on‑chain and off‑chain risks and mitigation techniques.
  • A track record of working across government, law enforcement, and or regulatory institutions to drive implementation of digital assets operations.
  • A willingness to travel for onsite support to high‑priority clients across their digital assets functional requirements.
  • High‑performance orientation with the ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver consistently.
Bonus points if:
  • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system.
