At Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL), we are building a center of excellence for Intellectual Property (IP) that is applied to high-performance computing devices consumed by millions of people around the world. Come build with us!
Role and Responsibilities
As a GPU HW Program Manager, you will drive the successful delivery of SARC/ACL's full GPU solution portfolio. Joining the Samsung Graphics Hardware Program Management team, you'll own project plans for hardware IP development programs - including post-silicon and commercialization for the mobile market.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings to develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, KPIs, and plans of record
  • Identify and drive resolution of program issues and conflicts across engineering groups through effective communication and influence
  • Assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate GPU IP program status to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot schedule and resource conflicts; define alternative milestones, tasks, and processes as needed
  • Own documentation and reporting in JIRA and Confluence; deliver concise, executive-level progress presentations across all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Drive adoption of PM best practices and continuously improve program metrics and processes

Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, or 4+ years of experience with a Master's Degree, or 2+ years of experience with a PhD
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical program/project management role
  • Hands-on technical expertise in GPU, CPU, or DSP hardware platforms; strong GPU/Graphics HW understanding highly valued
  • Experience with ASIC design, silicon validation and IP development process
  • Familiarity with standard methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) including source control (Git, Perforce, etc.)
  • Proficient in project schedule and resource management tools, including advanced Excel and power-point skills, and working with defect tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
  • Effective Communication skills, technical project presentations and teamwork skills
  • Detail and action oriented, self-starter, leader, and motivator, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Experience in managing global programs/teams across different time zones is a big plus

Our team is made up of talented individuals with diverse skill sets to build a technology roadmap and deliver market-leading GPU products. Our Xclipse GPU is the first mobile GPU with Ray Tracing technology that brings console-level graphics to Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
Being part of a unique team at a well-established global company means you have limitless room to explore, innovate, and grow by wearing different hats. We develop and deliver whole system architecture-level design for Samsung's current and next-generation mobile GPU. With architecture scalability at the frontier of our design focus, our performance- and power-optimized IP solution gets integrated into complex semiconductor products, aiming to reach multiple market segments.
