Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world's aviation leaders. Ontic's Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,400 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.
Our team is looking for a Program Manager to join them. You will report to the Value Stream Lead and will have an Onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA.
To be considered for this role, you should bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of program/project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace environments
  • Proven ability to manage tight schedules, prioritize competing demands, and consistently deliver on-time results
  • Experience working cross-functionally and holding teams accountable to commitments and deadlines
  • Strong supply chain and sourcing background preferred, with experience expediting parts, managing vendors, and resolving shortages
  • Familiarity with government contracts, compliance requirements, and quality standards (e.g., source inspection, FAR/DFAR, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to drive alignment across internal teams and external customers
  • Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of financial impact (revenue, margin, and delivery performance)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think creatively and operate in ambiguous situations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • MBA is a plus

As a Program Manager, you will:
  • Own and manage assigned product lines, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and financial performance (P&L)
  • Drive execution across 10-15 cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations
  • Actively manage and enforce schedules, identifying risks early and driving mitigation plans to closure
  • Lead daily/weekly execution rhythms (escalation calls, recovery plans, status updates) to maintain momentum
  • Partner closely with supply chain to expedite material, resolve shortages, and ensure continuity of supply
  • Coordinate with engineering teams and provide hands-on guidance to move projects forward ("handholding" where needed to unblock execution)
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and high customer satisfaction
  • Support and manage activities related to government programs, including compliance with contractual and quality requirements
  • Drive financial performance by managing revenue, margin, and cost impacts across the product line
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery, efficiency, and program health
  • Lead successful project closure and transition to sustaining functions
